Urgent same-day visits
For when your pet needs to be seen today, but it isn't an emergency. We hold open spots in every day's schedule for vomiting, limping, ear infections, eye trouble, itchy skin, and the 'something's off' feeling. Call in the morning for the best chance of a same-day spot.
What's included
Every visit, every time.
- Same-day spots held every day we're open
- Seen by a veterinarian, not just triaged by phone
- Bloodwork and X-rays in-house, so answers come faster
- A clear plan and a written estimate before treatment
- A follow-up call the next day

How it works
What happens, step by step.
-
Call or book online
Call us, or book an urgent visit online. Morning calls get the most choice of times.
-
A few quick questions
We ask about your pet's signs to make sure this isn't an emergency. If it is, we'll tell you where to go right away.
-
Seen today
An exam, then tests only if they'll change what we do. You hear the cost before each step.
-
Plan and follow-up
Medication and written instructions to go home, and a call the next day to see how things are going.
Don't book online if you see this
These are emergencies. A phone call is faster than any booking form.
- Trouble breathing, choking, or nonstop coughing
- Collapse, or unable to stand or walk
- Retching without bringing anything up, especially in large, deep-chested dogs
- A male cat straining to pee or crying in the litter box
- Suspected poisoning: chocolate, xylitol gum, grapes or raisins, lilies (cats), rodent bait, human medications
- Hit by a car, a bad fall, or any major injury, even if they seem fine
For emergencies, call the 24-hour emergency hospital: (613) 555-0199. During our hours you can also call us first at (613) 555-0142.

What if there are no same-day spots left?
We'll tell you honestly. If your pet can safely wait until tomorrow morning, we'll book you first thing. If they can't, we'll send you to the 24-hour emergency hospital and call ahead for you.
