The price-lock rule
If the job runs long, that's our problem
Flat-rate means the risk lands on us, not you. If a two-hour water heater swap turns into five hours of fighting corroded fittings, the written number holds. If we find something genuinely new once we're in — a second failed part, hidden damage — we stop, show you, and you approve a new written number before anything continues. The bill never exceeds what you signed.
Pricing questions, straight answers
How does the 60-minute guarantee actually work?
It applies to priority-one emergencies (active water or sewage you can't stop) inside our published service area, dispatched between 6 a.m. and midnight. The clock starts when dispatch confirms your ticket, and if the truck isn't at your door in 60 minutes, the $79 dispatch fee is $0 — automatically, without you asking. Between midnight and 6 a.m. we still roll immediately, but road realities mean the fee waiver is our goal rather than a guarantee.
What is the dispatch fee, and is it really credited?
The $79 covers the truck roll and on-site diagnosis. If you proceed with any quoted repair — same visit or within 30 days — the full $79 comes off the bill. You only ever pay it as a standalone charge if you decline all work.
When does the after-hours premium apply?
A flat $89 on emergency dispatches between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., and on weekends. It's the only after-hours difference — the flat-rate book prices themselves don't change at night, and scheduled next-morning visits never pay it.

Do you charge for estimates on replacements?
No. Water heater, furnace, AC, and heat-pump replacement quotes are free, in writing, and good for 12 months. No 'today-only' pricing games.
What's included in an installed price?
Equipment, labor, permit, code-required fittings (expansion tanks, pans, seismic strapping, venting), haul-away of the old unit, and the inspection. If a quote you're comparing looks cheaper, check that list first.
Who actually shows up?
A licensed Cascade employee in a marked van — we don't subcontract emergency work. Every tech is background-checked, and dispatch texts you the technician's name before arrival.
Do you handle gas leaks?
We repair gas lines after the utility has made the scene safe. If you smell gas right now: leave the house, then call NW Natural's emergency line or 911 from outside. Repairs are our job; making a live leak safe is the utility's.
