Migration: Etsy to Shopify
Own your storefront. Launch it on Shopify.
You cannot redirect an Etsy listing to Shopify, because you do not own etsy.com. This is a launch, not a URL migration: rebuilding your catalogue on your own domain and pointing your existing Etsy traffic toward it.
- No transaction fee cut on sales going forward
- Full catalogue rebuilt from your Etsy listings
- Free scope within one business day
What moves, and what has to be rebuilt
Your catalogue, your customers, your own domain.
Products, variants, and photos
Every Etsy listing, its variations, and its photos get rebuilt as a Shopify product. Etsy's own listing description and tags do not transfer directly, since Etsy's fields are built for its own internal search, not for Google, so descriptions are rewritten for your own site rather than copied.
Bringing your Etsy traffic across
Since etsy.com pages cannot redirect to your Shopify domain, the bridge is your Etsy shop banner, the About section, and any packaging inserts, all pointed at your new store. We write that copy so browsing Etsy shoppers know where to find you directly.
What does not come with you
Etsy reviews, shop stats, and sale history stay on Etsy and cannot be exported into Shopify. Your product photos and descriptions can move; your review count and shop age, which build trust on Etsy's own marketplace, start over on your new site.
Tracking, built from zero
Etsy gives you shop stats, not GA4 or Google Ads data, since Etsy owns that relationship. We set up GA4, conversion tracking, and a Google Shopping feed fresh on Shopify, since none of that infrastructure exists yet for your business outside Etsy.
What changes running your own store
You stop sharing your margin with Etsy on every sale
Etsy charges a listing fee, a transaction fee, and a payment processing fee on top, stacked on every order. A Shopify store carries its own subscription and processing cost, but nothing is taken as a cut of each individual sale the way Etsy's fee structure works.
You start outside Etsy's internal search, in Google's instead
Etsy ranks listings inside its own marketplace search, which is not the same system as Google. A brand-new Shopify store has no Google trust yet and needs real SEO work: enough product and category pages, reviews rebuilt on your own site, and links pointing at your domain, not a shortcut from Etsy traffic alone.
You gain a real customer list
Etsy limits how sellers can contact buyers outside its own messaging system, which keeps most of that relationship inside Etsy. A Shopify store captures emails directly at checkout, so you can build a list and run your own follow-up, something Etsy's policies do not allow the same way.
What we cannot promise
We cannot promise your Shopify store instantly outranks the Etsy competitors you are used to, since Etsy's own search and Google's are different games. What we can promise is a real foundation: pages built to be found, and tracking that shows what is actually working.
How the launch runs
01
Export and rebuild the catalogue
We pull your Etsy listings and rebuild each one as a Shopify product, rewriting descriptions for Google rather than Etsy's internal search.
02
Build, connect, and test
The Shopify store is built, GA4 and conversion tracking installed fresh, and your Etsy shop pages updated to point traffic at the new site.
03
Launch and grow
The store goes live, the sitemap is submitted to Search Console, and we track early performance since a new domain has no history to lean on yet.
Etsy to Shopify launch FAQ
Not necessarily right away. Many sellers run both for a period, using Etsy's existing traffic to feed the new store while it builds its own audience, then scale back Etsy once Shopify is generating steady sales on its own.
No. Etsy reviews are tied to your Etsy shop and cannot be exported into Shopify. Your Shopify store's reviews start from zero, which is why launching a review request flow on the new site matters early.
No. You do not control etsy.com, so there is nothing to redirect. The way to move that audience is your Etsy shop banner, About section, and any packaging or email you already send, all pointed at your Shopify store instead.
Not immediately. A brand-new domain has no history with Google yet, so ranking takes real page-building and time, separate from whatever visibility you had inside Etsy's own marketplace search.
It comes down to how many listings you are rebuilding and whether you also want tracking and a Shopping feed built from day one. Share your shop link and a real number comes back within one business day.
