Google Ads Account Restructure
Fix an account that has grown into a dozen thin campaigns fighting each other.
Accounts built years ago under old rules, one keyword per ad group, a new campaign for every idea, now fight each other for the same budget and starve Google's bidding systems of data.
- No contracts, ever

What we set up
Fewer, stronger campaigns instead of dozens of thin ones.
Consolidation by theme, not by keyword
The single keyword ad group structure made sense under strict exact match years ago. Today, a themed ad group with a tight group of related terms gives Smart Bidding more signal to work with than a dozen ad groups each holding one term. We keep each group narrow enough that the ad copy still feels relevant to every term inside it, rather than lumping unrelated services together just to consolidate.
Shared budgets where they help
Campaigns competing for the same audience get pointed at a shared budget instead of each guessing its own daily cap, so spend actually follows where the results are, not where a number was set months ago.
Brand and Performance Max overlap check
If a Performance Max campaign is running alongside Search, we check whether it is quietly competing with your own brand terms, and use a brand exclusion list where Google supports one for that account.
A migration plan, not a rebuild from zero
Conversion history and audience data live on the old campaigns. We map what moves, what gets paused, and what gets archived, instead of deleting years of signal on the first day.
How this job is scoped
Access we need
We need admin level access to the live account itself, plus a look at whatever feeds it conversion data, GA4 or an enhanced conversions setup, so nothing about tracking breaks during the move.
What gets delivered
A documented new campaign and ad group map, the actual changes made inside the account, and a short written note on what changed and why, so it is not a black box after we hand it back. If the account ever moves to someone else later, that map is the reference document, not something living only in our own files.
The acceptance test
We show conversion tracking still firing correctly after the change, confirm no campaign silently stopped serving, and walk through the new structure against the map we agreed on beforehand.
What is out of scope
This is a structural rebuild, not new creative. Writing new landing pages is its own job, and Smart Bidding needs time after any change like this before results should be judged, usually a week or two of a learning period Google itself describes.
How the restructure runs
01
Account audit
We pull the current campaign list, spend by campaign, and conversion history, and map out where the overlap and thin data actually is before touching anything.
02
Change plan you approve
You see the before and after structure and sign off before we touch a live account. Nothing gets merged or paused without that approval.
03
Change and settle window
We make the change, then watch closely through the settle period that follows a structural change, since bidding systems need a stretch of stable delivery before numbers mean much.
Google Ads account restructure FAQ
Conversion data attached to a paused or archived campaign stays in the account's history; it does not vanish. What can reset is a Smart Bidding strategy's own learning, since a big structural change asks it to relearn on the new setup.
Usually because campaigns got added one at a time over the years, one per idea or product, without anyone stepping back to see the whole account. That pattern is common, not a sign something was done wrong on purpose.
Google's own Smart Bidding strategies go through a settle period after a structural change, commonly a week or two of stable delivery, before performance numbers reflect the new setup rather than the disruption of the change itself.
No. Old campaigns typically get paused or archived, not deleted, so the history stays available if we ever need to look back at it or roll a decision back.
The price depends on how large and tangled the account has become over time. A screenshot of the campaign list or direct access is enough for us to start mapping the fix. Give it one business day and a scoped plan will be waiting for you, free of charge.
Stop fighting your own campaigns for budget.
Show us the current campaign list, and we will work out what merges, what pauses, and what stays exactly as it is. That review becomes a restructure plan built around your actual account, with a turnaround of about one business day and nothing charged upfront.
