Performance Max Asset Groups Build
Real creative in every asset group, not empty fields.
Leave the fields in a Performance Max asset group blank and Google will fill some of them in for you, sometimes badly. We write and design every field on purpose, then set the audience signals that guide it early on.

What we set up
Every field written and designed on purpose.
Headlines, long headlines, and descriptions written by hand
Each asset group has multiple headline and description fields, each with its own length limit and job to do. We write a real set for each group instead of one line copied into every slot. A headline meant to grab attention in a Discover feed reads very differently than one meant to close a decision in a Search result, and we write for that difference rather than treating every field the same.
Images cropped for every aspect ratio Google asks for
Square, landscape, and portrait crops all get supplied on purpose, since a missing size gets filled automatically and often crops the wrong part of the image.
Video supplied, not left for Google to generate
If no video is uploaded, Google will auto-generate a simple one from your other assets. We supply an actual video where one exists, since a purpose made clip carries the message better than an auto-built slideshow.
Audience signals set before launch
Customer lists, interests, and similar segments get added as a signal to guide the algorithm early. Performance Max will expand past that signal over time, but it should not have to start from nothing.
How this job is scoped
Access we need
Access to the Google Ads campaign to build inside, plus your logo files, product or service photos, and any existing customer list you want used as an audience signal.
What gets delivered
Fully built asset groups: headlines, descriptions, cropped images across the required aspect ratios, a video if one exists to supply, and audience signals set on each group. Every asset uploads directly into your own account, so none of the creative lives only in a file we keep on our side.
The acceptance test
We show each field populated on purpose in the account, the image crops rendering correctly in the ad preview, and the audience signal attached and visible on the asset group. If a crop looks off in preview, we adjust the source image rather than letting Google's automatic cropping guess at the right framing.
What is out of scope
This job builds the creative and signals inside asset groups that already exist. Deciding how many asset groups to have and how to split them by product or service line is the restructure job.
How the build runs
01
Gather the raw material
We collect your logo, photos, any existing video, and a customer list if you have one worth using as a signal, before writing a single headline.
02
Write and design each group
Headlines, descriptions, and image crops get built for the specific asset group they belong to, matched to what that group is meant to sell.
03
Upload and preview
Assets go into the account, we check the ad preview across formats, and confirm every required field is filled with something intentional before launch.
Performance Max asset groups build FAQ
Google can auto-generate some missing pieces, including a basic video from your other assets, so the campaign can technically run. It just means Google is guessing at the message instead of you setting it deliberately.
No, but you need something real if you want video at all rather than an auto-generated one built from your images and text. A simple, honest clip usually beats a slideshow assembled by the system.
They give the algorithm a starting point, existing customers or people with certain interests, before it has its own conversion data to learn from. Performance Max is built to move past that signal over time as it finds its own converters.
Yes, if you can export it. It gets uploaded as a signal, which has its own handling requirements around how customer data can be used, and we follow Google's rules for that upload.
What this costs depends on how many asset groups need building and how much usable creative already exists to start from. Whatever raw material you can send, we sort it against what each group actually needs. That turns into a scoped plan inside one business day, and reviewing it costs nothing.
Stop letting Google guess at your creative.
Send over your logo, product or service photos, and any customer list worth using as a signal. We will work out which asset groups they actually fit into. The build plan for those groups usually comes back in about a business day, no bill involved.
