The Knot and WeddingWire: one WeddingPro storefront, a 12-month auto-renewal, and what Premium adds

In short

The Knot and WeddingWire share one vendor product called WeddingPro: a Basic profile is free, and a paid Premium tier claims four times more leads. The Knot Worldwide's own Terms of Purchase set a 12-month auto-renewing term, non-refundable payments, a right to raise prices with 30 days' notice, and binding arbitration for any dispute.

Key facts

  • The Knot and WeddingWire are run through one shared vendor product, WeddingPro, so a single storefront and subscription cover a vendor's presence across both sites at once rather than two separate profiles.
  • WeddingPro's Basic plan is free and needs no credit card; its own pages claim Premium members receive "4X more leads" than Basic, though no numeric price is published for Premium on the pages we could access.
  • The Knot Worldwide's Terms of Purchase state Vendor Services "will automatically renew for successive twelve (12) month terms" unless cancelled at least 10 days before the next billing date once the initial term ends.
  • The same terms state plainly: "Except where prohibited by law, payments are non-refundable," and separately, "there shall be no refunds for Services provided by TKWW except as may be required by law."
  • After the first term, The Knot Worldwide "may, at its unilateral discretion, increase rates for any and all Vendor Services," with at least 30 days' written notice before the new rate takes effect.

One Storefront, Two Consumer Brands

A couple planning a wedding might browse The Knot for inspiration and WeddingWire for a checklist, and see the same vendor listed on both. That is by design: WeddingPro is the single vendor-facing product The Knot Worldwide built to power advertising and storefronts across both consumer sites, so a vendor manages one account rather than juggling two logins and two sets of photos.

WeddingPro's own marketing describes access to "15+ million monthly unique visitors" across the combined audience, along with in-app messaging through what it calls the WeddingPro Inbox, so a couple's first message to a vendor arrives inside the platform rather than by email.

Basic vs Premium, and What Each Includes

The Basic plan costs nothing and needs no credit card to start. WeddingPro's own pages describe Basic as including a storefront with up to 10 displayed photos, in-app messaging, and limited analytics covering impressions and visitors, along with links out to the vendor's own website and social profiles.

Premium is the paid tier, and WeddingPro's own comparison claims Premium members get "4X more leads" than Basic, a figure WeddingPro states as its own claim rather than one we independently verified. Premium's stated additions include verified contact details on leads, fuller analytics that add link clicks and new-lead counts, removal of ads from the vendor's own storefront, the ability to display package pricing, and badge or award placement. No specific dollar price for Premium appears on the pricing overview page we were able to load; getting an actual number requires contacting WeddingPro directly.

The Contract: Auto-Renewal, Refunds, and Price Increases

For a vendor who buys Premium or another paid Vendor Service, The Knot Worldwide's Terms of Purchase set the shape of that commitment. Section 4 states the service "will automatically renew for successive twelve (12) month terms" unless the vendor cancels through their WeddingPro dashboard at least 10 days before the next billing date, once the initial term has ended.

On money already paid, the terms are direct: "Except where prohibited by law, payments are non-refundable," and separately, "there shall be no refunds for Services provided by TKWW except as may be required by law." The Knot Worldwide also reserves the right, after the first term, to raise the price of a vendor's service at its own discretion, provided it gives at least 30 days' written notice before the new rate applies. If a vendor's payment fails, the terms allow The Knot Worldwide to "temporarily suspend access to Vendor's account, suspend or modify any services available to Vendor, or terminate the Vendor Services."

Reviews, Review Disputes, and Binding Arbitration

WeddingPro's own review policy restricts who can leave a review to a verified client, meaning someone with a real contract or proof of payment for the wedding in question, and allows that review to be posted "at any point once becoming a client, before the event or up to two years after the event." A vendor who believes a review breaks the rules gets one tool: a one-time Review Dispute filed through the dashboard, after which both sides get 10 calendar days to respond before WeddingPro decides. The policy is explicit that it "does not arbitrate who is 'right' or 'wrong'" on a simple disagreement over service, only whether the review itself violates a stated rule like false claims or prohibited content.

For a dispute with WeddingPro itself, the Terms of Purchase route almost everything into binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in Montgomery County, Maryland, waiving both a jury trial and any class action. A vendor can opt out of that arbitration clause, but only by emailing a specific address within 30 days of accepting the agreement.

When The Knot and WeddingWire Are the Better Choice

This pairing fits a wedding vendor, photographer, venue, florist, planner, or officiant, who wants visibility on the two platforms couples already use during active wedding planning, and who is comfortable starting on the free Basic tier before deciding whether Premium's claimed lead lift is worth paying for. The combined audience claim and the shared storefront mean one profile does double duty rather than requiring separate accounts.

The tradeoff sits in the contract mechanics once a vendor upgrades: a 12-month auto-renewing term, a narrow cancellation window measured in days rather than weeks, non-refundable payments, and a price The Knot Worldwide can raise on its own after the first year. A vendor who values predictable, cancel-anytime terms over the combined audience should weigh that contract shape carefully before signing up for Premium.
