HubSpot to Google Ads
HubSpot deals, reported back to Google Ads.
A form fill is not a sale. HubSpot tracks the deal after that. We map the stage that means a real customer to Google Ads, so your bidding learns from revenue, not just leads.
- 10% of ad budget, $600 a month minimum
- No contracts, month to month
- 30 day guarantee on the first month
The workflow
What connects a HubSpot deal to a Google Ads bid.
The click identifier
When someone clicks a Google ad and lands on your site, Google appends a click identifier to the URL. A hidden field on your HubSpot form saves it to the contact record before the visitor forgets why they came. This is the thread we pull on later.
The property map
HubSpot's own Google Ads connection, set up under your account's Ads settings, links the contact or deal to the ad click it came from. The property names inside that tool change as HubSpot ships updates, so we open your account and confirm the current names before we wire anything.
The stage that fires
We agree with you on one deal stage, usually Closed Won or a qualified stage you trust, as the moment that counts as a conversion. Moving a deal past that stage is what tells Google Ads a click turned into a customer, not a form fill. We pick this stage with your sales team, not for them, since they know which point in the pipeline actually means the deal is real.
Enhanced conversions as a backup
Click identifiers can go stale by the time a deal closes, especially on longer sales cycles. Google's enhanced conversions for leads feature lets us send a hashed email or phone number instead, so a match can still happen after the click identifier has expired.
What we check before we trust the numbers.
One property, verified live
We do not guess at a HubSpot field name from a help article written a year ago. We log into your portal, find the current property, and screenshot the mapping so you have a record of exactly what feeds Google Ads.
Deduplication against form spam
Bot traffic fills forms too. We filter obvious junk contacts out of the deal stage before it reports as a conversion, so a wave of spam does not quietly tell Google Ads your worst keywords are your best ones.
Timezone matched to the click
Google Ads expects the conversion time to line up with the original click, not the moment your sales team happened to update the deal. A mismatched timezone is a common reason imported conversions get rejected. We set the export to use the click's original timezone rather than your CRM's default, and check a handful of rows by hand before trusting the automated feed.
Re-tested after HubSpot updates
HubSpot moves its Ads tool and workflow actions on its own release calendar, not ours. Once something changes on either end, a fresh set of test deals goes through the pipeline and we check the resulting numbers in Google Ads before your reporting is allowed to lean on it.
How we build it.
01
Audit your current setup
Before wiring anything, we check your HubSpot forms and Ads settings: is the click identifier being captured, is the Google Ads account linked, and which deal stage does your team already trust as a real close.
02
Map and test
From there we set up the property inside HubSpot, choose the matching conversion action in Google Ads, and push a handful of test deals through so each one lands correctly with its own value and date attached.
03
Hand off the report
What comes back to you afterward is a short written note covering the property mapping, the stage that fires a conversion, and the first thing worth checking if a HubSpot release ever breaks the connection.
HubSpot and Google Ads offline conversions, answered.
No. For most accounts this uses HubSpot's own Ads settings and a workflow, not custom code. If your instance is unusually customized we will tell you before we start, and scope any extra work separately.
The click identifier only works within the window Google sets, and Google can change that window without notice. Once it expires we fall back to enhanced conversions for leads, matching on a hashed email or phone number from the deal instead.
No. The reporting piece rides on the deal stage change your team already makes when they close a deal. Nobody has to fill in an extra field or take an extra step.
Expect it, rather than being caught off guard by it. Vendor tools like this rename fields and redesign screens as they see fit. Whenever either side ships a change, a fresh batch of test deals runs through first, and we confirm the numbers before you rely on them.
Often yes, using GA4's own offline conversion or measurement protocol options alongside the Google Ads side. We scope that separately once we see how your GA4 property is set up, since every account is a little different. Running HubSpot's Marketing Hub and Sales Hub together, the common setup, usually gives us more form and deal data to work with, not less.
