Implementations / LinkedIn B2B Tracking
Sync HubSpot lifecycle stages to LinkedIn's Conversions API.
A LinkedIn ad click rarely turns into a customer the same day. HubSpot's own Ads tool can report a lifecycle stage change back to LinkedIn's Conversions API without a third party in between, so your bidding learns from a qualified lead, not just a click.
- 10% of ad budget, $600 a month minimum
- No contracts, month to month
- 30 day guarantee on the first month
The workflow
What connects a HubSpot lifecycle stage to a LinkedIn event.
The field map
Inside HubSpot's own Ads tool, you build an ad conversion event tied to a specific lifecycle stage change, for example a contact moving to Marketing Qualified Lead or Customer. HubSpot documents that this sync sends the hashed email plus the contact's first name, last name, job title, company, and country to LinkedIn, which LinkedIn uses to strengthen the match.
The identity match
A hidden field on your HubSpot form captures LinkedIn's click identifier before a visitor leaves the page, the same pattern used for a Google Ads gclid. HubSpot's documentation also notes it passes a lead ID hidden field by default, so a form filled through a LinkedIn Lead Gen Form and a website form can both feed the same conversion event.
Where the data enters
This runs entirely inside your existing HubSpot Ads settings once your LinkedIn ad account is connected. There is no separate app to install and no webhook to stand up, since HubSpot built the Conversions API sync as a native feature of its own Ads tool rather than an add on.
How failures surface
LinkedIn's Campaign Manager reports conversion counts against the event you set up, and a gap between HubSpot's stage change count and LinkedIn's reported conversions is the first place we look. A common cause is the lifecycle stage property getting renamed or reused for something else after the sync was built.
What we check before we trust the numbers.
Access we need first
Super Admin or Marketing Hub access in HubSpot to reach the Ads settings, plus admin rights on the connected LinkedIn ad account so the conversion event can be created and confirmed on both sides.
What gets delivered
A live HubSpot Ads conversion event tied to the lifecycle stage you choose, connected to your LinkedIn Campaign Manager account, plus a short written note on which stage fires it and what LinkedIn receives.
The acceptance test
We move one real test contact through the chosen lifecycle stage and confirm the conversion appears in LinkedIn's Campaign Manager within its normal reporting delay, with the identifiers HubSpot's own documentation says it sends.
What is out of scope
We do not manage your LinkedIn campaign structure or bidding strategy as part of this build. We set up one accurate signal moving from HubSpot to LinkedIn. What LinkedIn's algorithm does with that signal afterward is a separate, ongoing management conversation.
How we build it.
01
Audit
We check whether your LinkedIn ad account is already connected inside HubSpot's Ads settings, and which lifecycle stage your team already treats as a real qualified lead.
02
Build
We create the ad conversion event against that lifecycle stage inside HubSpot, confirm the LinkedIn click identifier capture is live on the right forms, and connect the conversion to your Campaign Manager account.
03
Verify
A real test contact moves through the stage change, and we confirm the conversion lands correctly in LinkedIn's reporting before handing over the reference note and calling the build finished.
HubSpot and LinkedIn Conversions API, answered.
No. HubSpot's own Ads tool includes this sync as a native feature once your LinkedIn ad account is connected. There is no third party step in the middle of the actual data path.
HubSpot's documentation lists a hashed email plus first name, last name, job title, company, and country, along with a click identifier and a lead ID hidden field where available.
The Ads tool with this level of conversion sync sits behind HubSpot's paid tiers. We confirm what your specific subscription includes before scoping the build, since HubSpot's own tiering can shift.
That is common in longer B2B cycles. We help you pick the stage that best represents a real qualified lead for your business, even if it is earlier than a closed deal.
Both platforms update their ad tools on their own schedule, and a renamed property or a shifted setting can quietly break the sync. We recheck this after either side makes a visible change rather than assuming it still holds.
