Implementations / Lawmatics to Google Ads
Send Lawmatics intakes to Google Ads.
A law firm running Lawmatics automates intake from the first contact form onward. This workflow reports the stage that means a real signed matter back to Google Ads, using whichever of Lawmatics's two real integration paths fits your setup.

The workflow
What connects a Lawmatics intake to a Google Ads conversion.
The field map
We trigger on a matter being created after intake, or on a signed engagement letter if your firm wants a firmer signal, and decide whether an estimated matter value should carry over as the conversion amount, based on your typical case types.
The identity match
A hidden field on your intake form saves the gclid to the contact record the moment they click through from a Google ad, so a matter opened weeks later can still be matched back to that click.
Where the data enters
Lawmatics documents its own OAuth2 REST API for a direct build, and separately maintains a native Zapier integration with triggers for a contact created, a matter created, and a custom form submitted. We pick whichever fits your firm: the API for a tighter, faster connection, or Zapier if your team wants to see and adjust the automation itself later.
How failures surface
The conversion import summary inside Google Ads lists every rejected row, which is the first failure signal. On the Lawmatics side, whether we built through the API or through Zapier, a trigger that stops firing usually traces back to the connected account losing authorization, which we check first.
What has to be true before the report counts.
Access we need first
API credentials or a connected Zapier account for Lawmatics, depending on the path we build, plus admin rights in Google Ads to set up the conversion action. We do not need access to case files beyond the intake stage itself.
What gets delivered
A working connection from your chosen Lawmatics trigger into a Google Ads offline conversion import or enhanced conversions setup, plus a written note on which path we used and exactly what fires it.
The acceptance test
We move one real test intake through the trigger stage and confirm it appears in Google Ads' conversion reporting within the platform's normal import window, with the correct value attached.
What is out of scope
We do not touch your intake questionnaire, conflict checks, or your firm's own qualification criteria for a lead. We build one accurate signal from the stage you choose, nothing about your intake process itself.
How we build it.
01
Audit
We check your current Lawmatics pipeline, confirm which stage best represents a real signed matter, and decide together whether the API or Zapier fits your firm's setup better.
02
Build
We connect the chosen trigger, whether through the direct API or a Zap, add the gclid capture to your intake form, and configure the matching conversion action in Google Ads.
03
Verify
A real test intake runs through the trigger stage, and we confirm it lands correctly in Google Ads' reporting before handing over the written reference and calling the build finished.
Lawmatics and Google Ads, answered.
The API gives a tighter, direct connection with fewer moving parts to maintain. Zapier gives your team visibility into the automation and the ability to adjust it without calling us. We help you pick based on how hands-on your firm wants to be.
A signed matter is usually the stronger signal, since an intake alone can include leads your firm ultimately declines. We help you pick based on your actual conversion rate from lead to client.
No. We send that a matter was opened and, if you choose, an estimated value. Case details and privileged notes stay entirely inside Lawmatics.
We set a rule for that case so a withdrawn matter does not count, since reporting it as a conversion would tell Google Ads your worst leads are your best ones.
Lawmatics updates its platform on its own schedule. We re-test with a real intake after any change we notice, and confirm the numbers before your reporting leans on them again.
