Implementations / Server-Side Meta Tracking

Send Pipedrive deals to Meta's Conversions API.

Pipedrive tracks a deal from first contact to won or lost. Meta's pixel only sees the first click. This workflow connects the two, so a deal actually closing is what teaches Meta's algorithm, not just a form submitted.

The workflow

What connects a Pipedrive deal to a Meta event.

The field map

We pick one pipeline stage, usually Won, as the trigger, and decide whether the deal's value field should ride along to Meta as the event value. A deal that reopens after being marked lost needs its own rule too, so a bounced deal does not fire a second conversion by accident.

The identity match

Meta wants a hashed email or phone number at minimum, and an fbclid captured off the landing page where possible. Pipedrive can store the fbclid as a custom field on the person or deal if a hidden field on your lead form saves it there before the visitor moves on.

Where the data enters

Pipedrive's own Webhooks v2 fires a real time notification whenever a deal changes, which is a genuine, documented feature. Pipedrive's Marketplace also lists a Facebook Lead Ads app, but that app only pulls lead ad leads into Pipedrive, it does not send deal data back out to Meta. Getting a Won deal to Meta means routing that webhook into Zapier, Make, or a dedicated middleware step built for this pairing.

How failures surface

Meta's Events Manager reports a match quality score for every event and flags a batch that never arrived. We watch that dashboard rather than trusting a webhook log that only confirms Pipedrive sent something, not that Meta accepted it cleanly.

What we confirm before you act on the numbers.

Access we need first

Admin rights in Pipedrive to set up the webhook and custom fields, plus your Meta Events Manager login to create the dataset and access token. We scope which pipelines and deal fields the webhook actually needs to touch.

What gets delivered

A live webhook firing from your chosen Pipedrive stage, routed through the middleware step and landing as a Meta Conversions API event, plus a short reference showing exactly which field maps to which Meta parameter.

The acceptance test

We move one real test deal to the trigger stage and confirm inside Events Manager that the event arrived, the hashed identifiers matched, and the browser pixel and this server event share one event ID so Meta does not count the same deal twice.

What is out of scope

We do not change how your sales team works Pipedrive or what counts as a qualified deal in your process. We build the pipe from the stage you choose to Meta, and leave your pipeline structure exactly as it was.

How we build it.

01

Audit

We check your current Pipedrive setup, which stage your team already treats as a real close, and whether an fbclid is being captured anywhere on your forms today.

02

Build

We set up the Webhooks v2 trigger on the chosen stage, route it through the middleware step, and configure the Meta Conversions API call with the agreed field map.

03

Verify

A real deal runs through the full path, checked inside Events Manager for match quality and duplication, before we hand over the written reference and call it live.
