A cGMP biologics production plant: ISO 7 cleanrooms, process utilities, and a schedule set by the first batch run.
Helix Bioworks sold its first commercial production slots before the building existed. The facility (ISO 7 cleanroom suites and a process-utility spine of RO/DI water, clean steam and compressed gases) had to be mechanically complete in time for a nine-month equipment qualification campaign that could not move.
Progressive design-build: scope and price validated with the owner's process engineers before contract, then the schedule built backwards from the qualification start date. The process-utility racks are being prefabricated off-site in 40-foot modules while our crews place the 14-inch production slab. Every cleanroom envelope detail is being documented as-built for the owner's quality dossier during construction, not reconstructed afterwards.
Structure tops out Q3 2026, tracking eleven days ahead of the qualification-driven baseline. (A fictional project shown mid-construction. This is how we report progress: honestly and in writing.)
