Root-cause care, explained
A visit long enough to ask why
Most clinic visits are built for one problem in 15 minutes. That works for a sore throat. It doesn't work for five years of fatigue, bloating and broken sleep.
Functional medicine looks at how those pieces connect: history, food, sleep, stress, medicines and labs. Integrative means nutrition, coaching and mind-body skills sit next to standard medical care.
- Clinicians who can examine, diagnose and prescribe
- A written plan with two or three changes to start, not twenty
- Notes sent to your primary care doctor, with your OK
Programs
Seven programs, one care team

Labs, read in context
Lab results are information, not a verdict
A number on its own doesn't diagnose anyone. We read every result alongside your symptoms, history and exam, and we tell you plainly when a finding is a maybe.
- 01 Only tests that change the plan Each test on your order has a written reason. We also publish the tests we usually skip.
- 02 Every result explained in a visit A 45-minute review and a one-page summary in plain words.
- 03 Prices before we order Standard labs can often use insurance. Specialty tests are priced upfront.

Alongside your doctor
We add to your care team. We don't replace it.
Keep your primary care doctor for sick visits and screenings, and your specialists for the conditions they manage. We take the long questions, and everyone gets the same notes.
An honest comparison
Where we fit, and where we don't
A short primary care visit is still the right place for a sore throat. Here is how the options really compare.

Nutrition and supplements
Food first. Supplements second.
Most plans are won in the kitchen. Our registered dietitian and health coach turn your care plan into groceries, recipes and bedtimes, with check-ins between visits.
Supplements are never the treatment plan. When one has good evidence for you, we name the dose and a third-party tested brand you can buy anywhere.

Thyroid care
“I'd been told my thyroid was fine for three years. Dr. Okafor ran the antibodies, explained them on one page, and sent everything to my regular doctor. Nothing magic, just thorough.”
Renee T. · August 2026
-
Lab testing
“They told me straight that a stool test probably wouldn't change anything for me, and skipped it. I respected that a lot.”
Gina M. · September 2026
-
Autoimmune support
“It isn't cheap, and my insurance only paid back part of the visits from the superbill. But I finally have one plan that my rheumatologist and Sorrel both agreed on.”
Denise K. · June 2026

What people ask first
Straight answers about what we are, what it costs and what we won't promise.
All questionsIs this the same as seeing a naturopath?
No. Naturopathic doctors have a different license and training. Our clinicians are medical doctors (MD), osteopathic doctors (DO) and nurse practitioners (NP) who can examine you, order tests, diagnose and prescribe medicine.
Do I need to leave my primary care doctor?
No, and we'd rather you didn't. Keep your primary care doctor for sick visits, screenings and urgent problems. We focus on the longer questions and send notes after key visits, with your permission.
Do you take insurance?
We are out of network with all insurance plans. We give you a superbill for visits that you can send to your insurer. Many PPO plans pay back part of it, HMO plans usually don't, and we can't promise what yours will do. Standard labs can often be billed to insurance.
My labs were normal. Why would you find anything different?
Sometimes we won't, and that's useful to know too. Often we add tests no one ran, read normal results alongside your symptoms, and look at sleep, food, stress and medicines. 'Normal' rules out a lot. It doesn't always explain how you feel.
Can you cure my condition?
We can't promise that, and we'd be careful with anyone who does. What we promise is time, a careful workup, a written plan and honest follow-up. Many people feel better with that approach. Some don't, and if that's you, we'll say so and help you find the next step.
