Advanced lab testing
Lab results are information, not a diagnosis on their own. We order tests that will change your plan, walk you through every result in a visit, and tell you when a test isn't worth your money.

Who it's for
Does this sound familiar?
- Labs that came back 'normal' while you still feel unwell
- A stack of results from different doctors and no one to connect them
- Curious about a test you saw online
- You want a solid baseline before making changes
If something feels urgent or is getting worse quickly, call your primary care doctor today or 911 in an emergency.
How we approach it
Four steps, in this order
-
01
Start with your existing results
Send what you have from the last year. There is no need to repeat a test that is recent and reliable.
-
02
Order with a reason
Each test on your order has a written reason. If it won't change the plan, we leave it off.
-
03
Draw here or near you
Blood draws in our clinic on weekday mornings, or at a partner draw station anywhere in Tennessee or Georgia.
-
04
A visit, not a portal message
Every panel is reviewed with you in a 45-minute visit. You leave with a one-page summary in plain words.
A note on the evidence
Tests we usually skip: IgG food sensitivity panels, hair mineral analysis and most 'toxin' panels. The evidence doesn't support using them to guide care, so we'd rather not charge you for them.
What a result looks like
A sample panel, annotated
This is the kind of page you take home after a lab review: each value, its range, and a plain note on what it means for you. The values here are made up for illustration.
Sample results · Foundations + thyroid
Illustrative, not a real patient
-
TSH Range 0.45 to 4.5 mIU/L
3.9mIU/L
In range, near the edge
In range. With fatigue and cold hands, we also check free T3 and antibodies.
-
Free T4 Range 0.82 to 1.77 ng/dL
1.1ng/dL
In range
Comfortably in range.
-
TPO antibodies Range Under 34 IU/mL
88IU/mL
Above range
Above range. Points toward Hashimoto's. A finding to discuss, not a reason to panic.
-
Ferritin Range 15 to 150 ng/mL
22ng/mL
In range, near the edge
Low end of normal. Worth a look with hair shedding or heavy periods.
-
Vitamin D, 25-OH Range 30 to 100 ng/mL
24ng/mL
Below range
Below range. A measured dose, then a recheck in three months.
-
Hemoglobin A1c Range 4.8 to 5.6 %
5.6%
In range, near the edge
Top of normal. Something to watch, and a good reason for a sensor trial.

Honest about tests
Tests we usually skip, and why
-
IgG food sensitivity panels
IgG often reflects foods you eat a lot, not foods that harm you. Results tend to lead to needless restriction.
-
Hair mineral analysis
Results vary between labs and don't match blood levels well enough to guide treatment.
-
Provoked urine 'heavy metal' tests
Taking a chelating drug first makes almost anyone's result look high.
-
Saliva 'adrenal fatigue' panels
Adrenal fatigue isn't a recognized diagnosis. If cortisol needs checking, we use validated blood or urine tests.
Working with your other doctors
Results go to you first, then to your primary care doctor with your permission, so they are in one place for everyone who cares for you.
What we won't do
A lab number alone doesn't diagnose you. We read it alongside your symptoms, history and exam, and we say so when a result is a maybe.
When a result needs someone else
Some things need a specialist or urgent care first. If any of these apply, we send you to the right place before going further.
- A result that needs urgent follow-up (we call you the same day)
- Imaging, such as an ultrasound or scan
- Genetic testing for inherited conditions (we refer to a genetic counselor)
Who you'll see

What it costs
The lab review visit is included in both memberships, or $295 on its own. Lab prices are listed on the membership page.
Memberships start at $175 a month for the first six months. Out of network with insurance; superbills provided for visits.
See every priceCan I just order labs without a visit?
No. Every test is ordered by a clinician who will review it with you. A result without context can cause more worry than it solves.
Can you review labs I already have?
Yes. The one-time lab review visit ($295) covers results from the last 12 months, and it is credited toward membership if you join within 30 days.
