Thyroid care
A single TSH result is a good screening test, but it isn't the whole story. We check the full thyroid panel and antibodies, look at iron, B12 and sleep too, and manage thyroid medicine carefully when you need it.

Who it's for
Does this sound familiar?
- Fatigue that sleep doesn't fix
- Feeling cold when others aren't
- Hair thinning, dry skin or constipation
- A Hashimoto's diagnosis and questions no one had time to answer
- Already on thyroid medicine and still not feeling right
If something feels urgent or is getting worse quickly, call your primary care doctor today or 911 in an emergency.
How we approach it
Four steps, in this order
-
01
The full panel
TSH, free T4, free T3, and TPO and thyroglobulin antibodies. Plus ferritin, B12 and vitamin D, which often travel with thyroid symptoms.
-
02
Read it with your symptoms
A result inside the lab range can still deserve a second look when symptoms line up. Context matters, and we write it down for you.
-
03
Medicine, done carefully
If you need treatment, we start with standard medicine and adjust slowly. Some people do better on a combination, and we discuss when the evidence supports it.
-
04
Support the rest
Sleep, stress and nutrition, including iodine and selenium, reviewed with the dietitian. Food supports treatment. It doesn't replace it.
A note on the evidence
Lab ranges are built from large groups of people. A value near the edge of the range can be normal for one person and a clue for another, which is why we read it with your symptoms.
Tests we may order
Only when they change the plan
- Thyroid panel TSH, free T4, free T3, TPO and thyroglobulin antibodies Self-pay $85, often billed to insurance
- Iron and vitamin check Ferritin, B12, vitamin D Included in the Foundations panel
- Thyroid ultrasound When there is a lump or a large gland Referral, billed by the imaging center
Working with your other doctors
If an endocrinologist manages your thyroid, we support their plan with nutrition, sleep and symptom tracking, and we never change their dose behind their back.
What we won't do
We don't prescribe thyroid medicine to people with normal thyroid tests for weight loss or energy. It isn't safe, and it doesn't work.
When we refer you elsewhere
Some things need a specialist or urgent care first. If any of these apply, we send you to the right place before going further.
- A lump or nodule in your neck
- An overactive thyroid (Graves' disease) or eye changes
- A history of thyroid cancer
- Pregnancy with a thyroid condition (we co-manage with your OB and endocrinologist)

See every priceMy TSH is normal. Is it worth checking more?
If you have symptoms, a full panel with antibodies is reasonable and inexpensive. Sometimes it shows early Hashimoto's. Sometimes it rules the thyroid out, which is useful too.
Can you prescribe natural desiccated thyroid?
We start with standard levothyroxine for most people. We discuss other options case by case, including their pros and cons, when standard treatment isn't working well.
