An AI tool has the wrong hours, address, or phone number.
A customer asked when you are open, or where to find you, and got a wrong answer. Unlike a broader false claim, this is usually a plain data mismatch across your listings that we can find and fix directly.

How we work the problem
The four things we check, in order.
Evidence we pull first
The exact hours, address, or phone number the AI tool stated, next to what your Google Business Profile, your website footer, and your top five directory listings actually say today.
Triage order
Google Business Profile first, since it is the most heavily used source for this kind of detail. Your own website's contact page and schema markup next. Then the handful of directories most likely to be crawled or cited, such as Yelp and Apple Maps.
What usually fixes it
Making the hours, address, and phone number identical, character for character, across your profile, your website, and your top listings, and adding or correcting structured data on your site so the correct version is unambiguous to anything reading the page.
What we cannot promise
We do not control which single source an AI tool chose to quote, and we cannot force a specific model to recheck its answer on demand. We can make every source agree and correct, which removes the mismatch that caused the wrong quote.
The decision tree we run through
If the hours are wrong
We check for a seasonal or holiday hours override left active on the Business Profile after the season ended, since that is the most common cause of a hours mismatch that looks random but has an obvious start date once you find it.
If the address is wrong
We check whether the business moved and an old address is still live on a directory or an old citation, or whether a service area business is showing a location it should have hidden, both of which confuse the address a model repeats.
If the phone number is wrong
We check for a call tracking number that was set as the primary number somewhere it should not be, since a tracking number swapped out later leaves old citations pointing at a number that no longer rings anywhere useful.
If every listing already agrees and the AI is still wrong
That points to the model working from stale training data rather than a live source, which is a harder problem than a listing fix. We say so plainly rather than promising a correction that structured data alone cannot deliver.
How the engagement runs
01
Audit every listing
We pull your hours, address, and phone number from your Business Profile, your website, and your top directories, and line them up side by side against what the AI tool stated.
02
Correct the mismatch
We update every listing that disagrees with the correct version, add or fix LocalBusiness structured data on your site, and remove any outdated citation we find.
03
Recheck the answer
We re-ask the same question after the correction has had time to be recrawled, and tell you honestly whether the AI answer now matches or still needs more time.
Wrong AI business data FAQ
Old addresses tend to survive on directories, old citations, and cached pages long after your Business Profile is updated. An AI tool can quote any of those, not just your current profile, so a move needs to be pushed to every listing, not only the one you remember updating.
Google Business Profile is one source among several a model can draw from. A stale directory, an old citation, or cached training data can still carry the wrong version. We check the wider set of sources rather than assuming one correction was enough.
It helps make the correct data unambiguous to anything reading your page, since structured data states your hours, address, and phone number in a fixed, machine-readable format rather than leaving it to be inferred from prose. It is one input among several, not a guaranteed override of every other source.
It depends on how each platform refreshes its sense of your business, and that timeline is set by the platform, not by us. Some corrections show up within days of a recrawl; others wait for a broader model update. We recheck on a schedule so you know where things stand rather than guessing.
It overlaps heavily. Consistent hours, address, and phone number across your listings is also what local SEO cleanup fixes, and the same work that clears an AI answer usually helps your map pack standing too. The difference here is starting from one specific wrong answer and working backward to the cause.
