Implementations / Vagaro to Google Ads

Send Vagaro bookings to Google Ads.

A salon or spa running Vagaro wants Google Ads to know when a chair actually gets filled. Getting there means understanding what Vagaro's own booking API requires first, since it is not a setting every account can just turn on.

  • 10% of ad budget, $600 a month minimum
  • No contracts, month to month

The workflow

What connects a Vagaro booking to a Google Ads conversion.

The field map

We trigger on a new appointment being booked, and decide with you whether the service price should carry over into Google Ads as the conversion value, based on what your menu actually charges for a first visit.

The identity match

A hidden field on your booking page saves the gclid to the client's Vagaro profile the moment they click through from a Google ad, so the eventual appointment can still be matched back to that click days later.

Where the data enters

Vagaro documents a Business API with appointment and customer data plus outbound webhooks, but access is gated behind a paid, non-trial subscription with card processing active, a request form submitted to Vagaro, and an approval process that typically takes about a week. Vagaro's webhook also powers a native Zapier listing with a new appointment trigger, which is the realistic path for most single-location salons that do not clear the API's approval bar.

How failures surface

Inside Google Ads, the conversion upload summary reports the share of rows it could not match. On the Vagaro side, an account that never cleared the API approval process is the most common reason nothing arrives, which we check before assuming the build itself is broken.

What is checked before the data is trusted.

Access we need first

Confirmation of whether your Vagaro subscription qualifies for API access, or a Zapier account if it does not, plus admin rights in Google Ads to set up the conversion action either way.

What gets delivered

A working connection from Vagaro into a Google Ads offline conversion import or enhanced conversions setup, built through the API where your account qualifies or through Zapier where it does not, plus a written note on which path we used.

The acceptance test

We book one real test appointment through a tracked click and confirm it appears in Google Ads' conversion reporting within the platform's normal import window, with the correct value attached.

What is out of scope

Requesting and waiting on Vagaro's own API approval is not something we can shortcut on your behalf. We tell you plainly which path your account qualifies for and build accordingly, rather than promising access Vagaro has not granted.

How we build it.

01

Audit

We check your Vagaro subscription tier, whether it qualifies for API access, and which booking action best represents a real new client for your business.

02

Build

We either request API access and build the direct connection, or set up the Zapier path if your account does not qualify, and add the gclid capture to your booking page either way.

03

Verify

A real test booking runs through a tracked click, and we confirm it lands correctly in Google Ads' reporting before handing over the written reference and calling the build finished.
