Recovery: Google Ads
Your campaign is live and still shows zero impressions.
Zero impressions is a symptom with a short list of real causes. We check eligibility, policy, targeting, and the bid floor for your market before we touch a single setting.
- Full status check before any change
- Plain answer on the real cause
- No cost to see the scope
Evidence, then action
How we find why nothing is showing
The evidence we pull first
We check the campaign, ad group, and keyword status columns, plus the policy manager for any account level restriction. A keyword flagged Low search volume, a paused ad group, or a site wide policy hold will all show zero impressions and look identical from the outside.
The triage order
First we confirm the campaign is actually enabled and not accidentally paused or ended by a past end date. Next we check ad approval status, then targeting settings such as location and language, then whether the bid clears the auction floor for the keywords chosen.
What usually fixes it
Removing an old end date, fixing a rejected ad, correcting a location setting that excluded your own market by mistake, or raising a bid that sits well under the going rate clears most zero impression cases within a day or two.
What we cannot promise
We cannot promise every keyword will show impressions immediately, since Google can flag a genuinely low volume term as ineligible on its own. We can promise a full status check and a written answer on whether the cause is fixable or structural.
The decision tree we run
If a single keyword shows Low search volume
we check whether it is one narrow term or the whole account, since Google pauses individual low volume keywords but that alone will not zero out a whole campaign.
If the whole campaign shows zero impressions
we check the campaign status and end date first, since a campaign paused weeks ago or set with a past end date can still look active in some views.
If the ad shows Approved but still gets nothing
we check location and language targeting, since an excluded region or a language mismatch with your audience can zero out delivery with no error message at all.
If the account was recently flagged for a policy issue
we check whether the hold applies to one ad or the whole account, since a site wide policy issue on a landing page can silence every campaign at once.
How the engagement runs
01
Read access and a status sweep
We check every level, account, campaign, ad group, and keyword, for the specific status Google assigned, not just whether it reads active.
02
A plain written cause
You get the exact reason in writing, plus whether it is something we can fix today or something that needs a policy fix first.
03
Fix, then confirm delivery
We make the fix and watch for impressions to return over the following days, since some changes need a short review period before delivery resumes.
Google Ads zero impressions questions
Enabled at the campaign level does not mean every layer underneath is clear. A paused ad group, a disapproved ad, an excluded location, or a keyword marked too narrow can each zero out delivery while the campaign itself still reads as active. We check every layer, not just the top one, since the answer is rarely visible from the campaign overview alone.
A low bid usually means fewer impressions, not none, but in a competitive auction it can push you out of the running entirely for a period. We compare your bid against the going rate for your keywords before ruling this in or out.
Yes, and it happens more than you would think. A location setting left on the default when it should target people searching about your area, or a language filter that does not match how your customers search, can quietly cut off delivery with no warning in the account.
Simple fixes like removing an end date or approving a disapproved ad often restore impressions within a day. Policy related fixes can take longer, since a human reviewer looks at the resubmission rather than an automated check.
