Platforms / WooCommerce SEO
WooCommerce SEO for stores that outgrew the default setup.
WooCommerce gives you full control, because it is WordPress with a store added. That control cuts both ways. Filters can create thousands of near-copies of a category, the product base in your URLs can change by accident, and every plugin adds weight. We fix those, then write the category and product pages that bring in buyers.

What changes on WooCommerce
Four places where WooCommerce SEO differs from a plain WordPress site.
Product and category permalinks
WooCommerce sets a product base, /product/ by default, and a category base, /product-category/, under Settings, Permalinks. You can change them, but every change moves every product URL at once. We decide on a structure early, and if it has to change, we map and test redirects for the whole catalog first.
Filters and sort URLs
Attribute filters, price sliders and sort options create new URLs with parameters for each combination. A category with five filters can turn into a huge number of crawlable pages with the same products in a different order. We use canonical tags, noindex rules and robots.txt to keep Google on the versions worth ranking.
Product structured data
WooCommerce core adds Product structured data with price and stock status. An SEO plugin like Yoast or Rank Math may add or merge its own. Variable products show a price range, and review plugins sometimes add a third block. We make sure each product prints one clean, accurate block that Google can read.
Pages that cannot be cached
Cart, checkout and account pages have to stay live for each shopper, so page caching cannot help them. The rest of the store can be cached. Slow hosting, a large database and too many plugins make WooCommerce slower than it needs to be. We find the biggest drag on Core Web Vitals and fix that first.
Shopping, tracking and what $50 a page buys.
Merchant Center and GA4
Google for WooCommerce, Google's extension for the platform, syncs products to Merchant Center. GA4 ecommerce events need their own setup, through that extension or a tag manager. We make sure product data is correct at the source, because the same titles feed both organic results and Shopping ads.
Category pages first
Category pages win the broad searches, like "trail running shoes" or "loose leaf green tea". Most WooCommerce stores show a product grid and nothing else. We add helpful copy, a buying FAQ and links to subcategories, placed so the products still show first on mobile.
Product descriptions that are yours
Supplier copy appears word for word on other stores. We rewrite the products that already sell, or that sit on page two, with details a buyer needs: fit, materials, what is in the box, who it is for.
What is not included
The per-page price does not include hosting changes, theme rebuilds, plugin licences or link outreach. If the platform itself is the problem, we compare staying on WooCommerce with moving to Shopify, both ways, with honest trade-offs.
How a WooCommerce SEO month runs.
01
Crawl the store
We crawl products, categories and filter URLs, and flag duplicates, broken schema and slow templates.
02
Fix, then write
Crawl rules and schema come first. Then at least ten category or product pages a month are written or rewritten.
03
Measure by page
Search Console clicks and impressions for each page we touched, next to your WooCommerce sales for those products.
WooCommerce SEO questions.
Neither wins by default. WooCommerce gives more control over URLs and code, and more ways to break things. Shopify gives less control and fewer ways to go wrong. The store with better category pages and cleaner product data usually does better, on either platform. Switching platforms rarely fixes weak content on its own.
Usually not on an established store. Changing it moves every product URL, and even well-built redirects take time for Google to process. On a new store it is worth deciding before launch. We explain the trade-off for your catalog, and how many URLs would move, before touching anything.
Store pages are billed at $50 CAD or $38 USD apiece, with a floor of 10 pages each month. There is nothing to pay upfront and nothing to sign. Our 30-day promise is simple: if the first month falls short, you do not pay for it. Crawl and schema fixes are itemized in your free proposal.
If an item is coming back, keep the page live and say when. If it is gone for good, redirect it to the closest product or its category. WooCommerce has a setting to hide out-of-stock items from the catalog, and we check that it is not hiding pages you still want found.
Yes, as a separate service. Management runs at 10% of the monthly ad budget, with a floor of $600 CAD or $450 USD, and we never add a markup to what you spend with Google. Clean product titles and attributes help both organic rankings and Shopping ads, so doing the two together saves repeat work.
