Platforms / Shopify SEO

Shopify SEO that works with Shopify's rules.

Shopify decides a lot for you: your URL prefixes, your sitemap, and how products sit inside collections. Some of that helps and some of it gets in the way. We write the collection and product pages that bring shoppers in, and we fix the handful of Shopify habits that quietly waste your crawl and split your rankings.

  • $50 CAD or $38 USD per page
  • From 10 pages a month
  • Month to month, 30-day guarantee

Where Shopify shapes your SEO

The four Shopify settings we look at before writing a word.

Fixed URL prefixes

Every Shopify store uses /products/, /collections/, /pages/ and /blogs/ in its addresses, and you cannot remove those folders. Products can also load inside a collection path, like /collections/boots/products/trail-boot. Shopify points the canonical tag at the plain product URL, but many themes still link to the longer one. We fix those internal links so Google sees one address per product.

Robots.txt and the sitemap

Shopify builds sitemap.xml for you and keeps it current. It also writes a default robots.txt, which you can now change through a robots.txt.liquid template in your theme. Filter, sort and internal search URLs can multiply fast on a big catalog. We decide which ones stay crawlable and which ones Google should skip.

Product schema from the theme

Most Shopify themes print Product structured data, but quality varies a lot. Brand, GTIN, reviews and shipping details are often missing, and a review app may add a second Product block that disagrees with the first. We clean this up in the theme's Liquid files, using metafields for any details Shopify has no built-in field for.

Canada and US from one store

Shopify Markets can serve Canada and the US from subfolders or separate domains, and it adds hreflang tags for you. The risk is Google showing US shoppers a CAD price, or the reverse. We check which version ranks in each country and fix the market settings when the wrong one shows up.

What $50 a page buys on a Shopify store.

Collection pages first

Collections are where category searches land, like "merino base layers for women" or "cast iron dutch oven". Most stores leave them as a grid of products with a title. We add a short useful intro, a buying FAQ, and links to related collections, written by a person who has read your products.

Product pages next

Manufacturer descriptions appear on every other store selling the same item, so they give Google no reason to pick yours. We rewrite your best sellers first with real details: sizing, materials, care and who the product suits. Variants stay on one URL so their ranking signals do not get split.

How we measure it

We verify your domain in Google Search Console and track clicks and impressions for each collection and product we wrote. You see which pages gained ground and which did not. We never promise a ranking position, because Google decides that, not us.

What it does not cover

Theme rebuilds, paid SEO apps and product photography sit outside the per-page price. If your theme is the real problem, we quote a fix or a new build separately. Link outreach is not part of this service either.

How a Shopify SEO month runs.

01

Crawl and map

We crawl the store, list duplicate paths and thin collections, and match each page to the search it should win.

02

Write and fix

At least ten pages a month get written or rewritten, plus the theme fixes that stop duplicates and broken schema.

03

Check and adjust

Each month we compare Search Console data for the pages we touched and pick the next ten based on what moved.
