Share certificates: a rate you can count on

A certificate is savings with a promise in both directions. You agree to leave the money for a set term, and we lock the rate for that whole time. It's made for money with a date on it: next year's tuition, a down payment, the roof in 2028.

How it works, start to finish

  1. 01

    Pick a term

Match it to when you'll need the money. Put in $500 or more.

  2. 02

    Earn a locked rate

Dividends compound monthly, or pay out to your savings as income.

  3. 03

    Decide at maturity

A 10-day grace window lets you add, withdraw, or change terms before it renews.

Early withdrawal costs 90 days of dividends on the amount withdrawn. It never touches your original deposit.

Questions

What members ask about certificates

Need money you can reach anytime instead? High-Yield Savings pays 3.10% APY with no lock-up.

What happens if I need the money early?

You can take it out. The cost is 90 days of dividends on the amount you withdraw. Your original deposit is never touched by the penalty.

What happens when a certificate matures?

You get a 10-day grace window to add money, take it out, or change the term. If you do nothing, it renews for the same term at the rate on that day.

Can I get the dividends paid out?

Yes. Dividends compound monthly by default, or you can have them paid to your savings or checking each month as income.
